Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility and provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Follow state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care; perform only procedures for which the COTA is qualified and trained; make recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Required Qualifications
- Possess a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Possess, prior to onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in assigned state
- Adaptability, compassion, detail oriented, friendly & courteous
- A moderate degree of physical strength is needed because of the exertion required to assist patients
- Ability to kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation
