Job Summary

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, delivering skilled interventions targeting ADLs, IADLs, neuromuscular re-education, and cognitive retraining. Monitor patient performance, report clinical concerns to the supervising OT, and assist in collecting data for progress assessments. Instruct patients and caregivers on home programs and adaptive strategies, while assisting with transfers, positioning, and equipment use. Support discharge planning, communicate with families and interdisciplinary team members, and complete accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal standards. This full-time role in Oroville, CA, offers a $38–$47 hourly rate with a $5,000 sign-on or relocation bonus, 401(k) matching, and comprehensive health benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, active, and unrestricted Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant license in the State of California
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Successful completion of the NBCOT examination for Occupational Therapy Assistants
  • Current CPR/BLS certification with AHA
  • Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements established by the California Occupational Therapy Board
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated maturity, composure, and professionalism in dynamic, fast-paced clinical environments
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under supervision
  • A team-first mindset and a genuine passion for skilled nursing and post-acute care
  • Ability to assist with patient transfers, upper extremity positioning and therapeutic handling, lifting and repositioning patients with or without assistive devices
  • Ability to perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and stair navigation
  • Ability to assist in resident evacuation during emergency situations
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

  • Willingness to obtain CPR/BLS certification per facility policy
