Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in Life Care Centers of America SNFs. Responsibilities include following occupational treatment plans, charting appropriately, utilizing therapy software, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute needs. Eligible candidates are NBCOT certified upon hire, graduates of an accredited OT program (ASOT), currently licensed in the applicable state, with new grads welcome and CPR certification on hire or during orientation. The role requires professional conduct, adherence to Life Care’s policies, patient-centered care, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- NBCOT certified upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (ASOT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
- One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
