Job Summary
The COTA provides direct occupational therapy rehabilitation to patients under the supervision of a licensed OT in a Life Care Centers of America SNF setting. Responsibilities include following established OT treatment plans, utilizing therapy software, documenting appropriately, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team, and maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. Requires NBCOT certification upon hire, current state licensure, and graduation from an accredited OT program; CPR certification upon hire. New grads are welcome. Must be able to interact with patients, families, and staff, demonstrate sound body mechanics, and participate in ongoing professional development and compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- NBCOT certification upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- Current state license in good standing
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation
- Demonstrates knowledge of post-acute care practices and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
