Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Provide direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed OT, following department goals, policies, and Life Care standards. Responsibilities include following established treatment plans, charting timely, using therapy software, collaborating on patient needs with interdisciplinary teams, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism, ensuring patient safety, and supporting community health initiatives. Requires NBCOT certification upon hire, an accredited OT program diploma (ASOT), active state licensure, CPR certification, and strong Microsoft Word/Excel/email skills. Prior experience is preferred though new grads are welcome; the role emphasizes independent decision-making, body mechanics, and adherence to regulatory guidelines within a post-acute care setting.
