Job Summary
Provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients under physician referral and supervision of a licensed OT, requiring NBCOT certification upon hire, state licensure, and ASOT graduation. Role includes following treatment plans, charting, using therapy software, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Proficient in Word/Excel/email, CPR current, and adherence to Life Care standards and Code of Conduct. Responsibilities cover patient rights, safety, sanitation, community health participation, and maintaining confidentiality; duties span planning patient needs, liaising with patients and families, and supporting post-acute care goals. Essential functions include executing treatment plans, accurate charting, patient service, attendance, and teamwork; requires physical capability to perform routine tasks and communicate in English.
Required Qualifications
- NBCOT certified upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license throughout employment
- One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation and maintain current CPR during employment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Knowledge of practices and procedures governing post-acute care facilities
- Demonstrates ability to make independent decisions when warranted
- Follow occupational treatment plans under supervision of OT
- Chart appropriately and timely; utilize therapy software
- Excellent customer service and teamwork; communicate with patients and families
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies including harassment and compliance
