Job Summary
The COTA provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed OT, following Life Care standards. Requires NBCOT certification upon hire and an active state license; ASOT/OT program graduate; CPR at hire or during orientation. One year experience preferred; new grads welcome. Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/email; strong communication with patients, families, and departments; maintain patient rights, safety, and confidentiality; chart timely; operate therapy software; participate in interdisciplinary team; physical demands include typical mobility tasks. Required Qualifications
- NBCOT certification upon hire
- Active state license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation
- 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and email
- Ability to communicate with patients and families
- Understand and follow policies and procedures
- Proficiency in therapy software
- Demonstrate professional conduct and confidentiality
- Read/write/speak English
