Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct rehabilitation services under the supervision of an licensed Occupational Therapist in a post-acute care setting (SNFs). You will implement occupational therapy treatment plans, chart patient progress, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patient goals to improve functional outcomes. Responsibilities include following treatment plans, documenting timely notes, utilizing therapy software, delivering high-quality patient care with excellent customer service, assisting in patient evacuation if needed, maintaining safety and confidentiality, and upholding Life Care standards. Collaborative care with nursing and therapy staff across orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary patient populations, with opportunities for career advancement and leadership roles. Education/experience requirements include NBCOT certification upon hire, current state licensure, an accredited OT program, CPR certification, and a preference for one year of experience but welcoming new grads. Requires proficiency with Word/Excel and effective communication within an interdisciplinary team.
