Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides rehabilitative services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist to residents, assisting with ADLs and IADLs through therapeutic exercises, adaptability of environments, documentation, and coordinated care with the treatment team; duties include assessments, implementing treatment plans, ensuring safety during therapy, using adaptive equipment, documenting progress, collaborating with residents and families, participating in team meetings, staying current with best practices, maintaining licensure, and performing assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA in the state where work is performed
- Strong clinical skills in providing rehabilitative services
- Ability to build rapport with residents
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
