Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to illness or injury. Assess patients, observe deficits, establish therapy goals, and document progress while assisting with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination. Suggest adaptive equipment such as grab bars and shower chairs, assess fall risks, and introduce strategies to improve home safety. Educate patients and families on the plan of care, exercises, goals, and self-care. Work as part of a home health team including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and SLPs focused on the patient's plan of care and personal goals. Maintain 1:1 therapist-to-patient ratios with flexible assignments and autonomy.
