Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Home Health – PRN in Austin, TX. Provide skilled home health occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT, implement Plans of Care delegated by the supervising OT, and treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, and post-surgical conditions. Administer therapeutic exercises, gait, balance, transfer, and functional-mobility activities; apply manual therapy techniques and modalities; educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safe mobility. Monitor patient response and report changes to the supervising PT; complete accurate electronic documentation in compliance with Medicare home health regulations; follow infection control standards and safety protocols. Participate in QAPI and agency performance improvement initiatives. Flexible daytime schedule; in-home patient care setting in Austin, TX with potential coverage in surrounding areas. Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Texas
- Home Health experience (1 year required)
- HomeCareHomeBase (HCHB) experience (preferred)
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and time-management skills
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
