Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / COTA

Job Summary
Assist patients in exercise, activities of daily living, and the application of assistive devices per the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist. Collect outcome measures, complete complex treatment procedures, and educate patients, families, and health workers on functional activities as directed. Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development while maintaining thorough documentation of all care provided. Adhere to AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. This flexible, PRN role offers 10-20 hours weekly with in-person, one-on-one therapy and reimbursement for drive time and mileage. No weekend shifts are required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
- Current CPR certification
