Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Administer occupational therapy programs involving functional skills, activities of daily living, and vocational homemaking tasks under general supervision. Instruct and motivate patients to improve functional abilities while observing treatments to compile data on progress and report findings to the supervising occupational therapist. Assist in evaluating daily living skills, designing adaptive equipment, and instructing families on care and equipment use. Document patient progress toward established goals and maintain billing records while adhering to infection control, safety, and body mechanics policies. Maintain confidentiality, participate in staff meetings and educational seminars, and perform miscellaneous assignments as required.
