Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) delivers occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed OT to implement individualized plans of care for residents in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. Responsibilities include documenting progress, communicating updates to the interdisciplinary team, assisting residents with activities of daily living and functional mobility, monitoring changes in condition, maintaining compliance with regulations, participating in care planning and therapy discussions, and ensuring safety and dignity during sessions. Requires current Colorado COTA license in good standing; prior SNF/rehabilitation experience is preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and a passion for improving seniors’ independence and quality of life are essential. Offered pay range: $27.00-$38.00/hour DOE, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus; position types include full-time, part-time, or PRN opportunities; location: Grand Junction, CO (PalIsade, CO also listed). Required Qualifications
- Current Colorado Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
