Job Summary
Deliver pediatric occupational therapy in the child's natural environment by assisting in treatment plan implementation, tracking reassessment needs, and administering evaluations under supervision. Maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment when discontinuing harmful procedures, and ensure proper planning per the IFSP. Exhibit positive professional attitudes and language skills while modeling appropriate behavior for children and families. Maintain certification and adhere to the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics. Requires a Texas license, associates degree, and ability to lift 35 pounds in variable environments.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Successful completion of the National Certification exam
- State of Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant License
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Auto insurance
- Pass a pre-employment physical
- Two (2) years pediatric experience
- Proficiency in computer and Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds
- Ability to work in variable environments related to temperature, humidity, degrees of cleanliness/order, and around other varied environmental factors and elements
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Judgment decisions
- Handling emergencies
- Irregular schedules
- Working as a Team Member with other employees and client teams
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years pediatric experience
