Job Summary
Provide rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. Conduct treatment sessions, lead therapeutic exercises and activities, and provide training in the use of adaptive equipment to help residents improve or maintain activities of daily living, functional mobility, independence, and safety. Carefully document progress, communicate changes in condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, holistic care. Educate and support residents and their families, contribute to therapy programming, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and foster a resident-centered environment focused on dignity, respect, and meaningful outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant
- State licensure as a COTA (as applicable)
