Job Summary
Develop comprehensive treatment plans with long and short-term goals, frequency, and duration while providing direct occupational therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. Conduct evaluations, set up and maintain the therapy gym environment, and deliver 1:1 intervention alongside sensory integration training. Create individualized home exercise programs and maintain accurate clinical documentation for progress notes and treatment planning. Collaborate with psychologists, physical therapists, educators, and families at multi-disciplinary meetings to support functional independence. Work within our integrated care model to assist children with autism in the ABA clinic and develop small group programming.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited program
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in Connecticut
- Experience providing occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist for children and adolescents
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time management abilities
- Experience with pediatric populations
- Strong desire to work as a collaborative and supportive member of multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in small group facilitation and development of programming
