Job Summary
Carry out nursing care under the charge nurse's supervision, adhering to Presbyterian Homes standards of care. Assist residents with activities of daily living, interact with them to meet social and recreational needs, and establish interpersonal relationships. Guard residents' rights and communicate properly with co-workers, supervisors, other employees, and visitors. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requires current Illinois CNA certification, CPR certification, and ability to use medical terminology. Part-time, 3pm-11pm, every other weekend. Required Qualifications
- current certification as a nursing assistant with the Illinois Department of Public Health
- able to speak, read, write and comprehend English skills needed to use medical terminology on the job
- ability to do simple arithmetic
- good communication skills
- CNA Certification in the state of Illinois
- CPR certified, Accredited by American Heart Association
- Reading, writing, and comprehension skilled needed to use medical terminology on the job
- Ability to do simple arithmetic
Desired Qualifications
- Long-term care experience preferred but not required
- general knowledge of the needs of general patients
