Job Summary
Provide supportive services to nurses and staff as assigned, assisting residents with activities of daily living, lifting, turning, and transporting them between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs. Coordinate dining room services including meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of intake, while delivering nutritional supplements and tracking resident weights. Monitor skin condition, report pressure areas or breakdowns, and assist with toileting programs. Complete daily flow sheets and document resident progress as directed. Report changes in resident condition or factors interfering with work assignments to the nurse and supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state-approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state-approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment REQUIRED
- Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members
Desired Qualifications
- High School Graduate/GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care preferred
