Job Summary
Assist seniors and adults with disabilities with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and light housekeeping. Prepare meals, measure intake and output, take vital signs, and reinforce dressings under nurse supervision. Perform other assigned tasks such as assisting with ostomy appliances, range of motion exercises, and device usage. Maintain a positive, approachable demeanor while ensuring client safety and comfort. Requires six months of CNA experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Competitive pay ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 with bi-weekly pay, medical benefits, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
- Six months experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course
- The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
- Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- Current CPR Certificate
- Vaild TB test
- Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
- Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Have a valid driver's license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
