Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant provides routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with each resident’s care plan and directions from supervisors. Responsibilities include recording entries, reporting changes to nursing staff, assisting with daily living activities (oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, hair and nail care), maintaining room readiness, transporting residents, supporting testing preparation, assisting with activities, monitoring resident status, and adhering to policies and procedures to ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered, active CNA certification in the state of employment.
- Possess a sincere desire to work with elders and others with a limited capacity for self-care.
- Mental and physical capacity to perform the essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Work with and provide care to individuals of a wide range of personality types and maturity levels.
- Demonstrate creative initiative and mature judgment in making competent decisions.
- Consistently maintains courteous, empathetic, and professional attitude.
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Maintain confidentiality of all activity, persons, and records.
- Communicate and comprehend orally and in writing to effectively receive and share information as necessary to perform job duties.
- Transportation accessible to enable flexibility of work schedule.
- Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state.
