Job Summary
Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to the supervising nurse. Assist residents with daily living needs including hygiene, dressing, mobility, meals, and medication reminders. Support safe transfers, positioning, and ambulation while maintaining a clean and safe living environment. Prepare and submit progress notes in a timely manner and encourage resident engagement in activities. Follow infection control, HIPAA, and community policies. Attend required in-service trainings and staff meetings. This role functions under the supervision of the Healthcare Coordinator.
Required Qualifications
- Active CNA certification
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience, preferably with seniors
- Compassionate, professional, and able to handle emotionally charged situations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and assist with resident mobility
- Comfort using basic technology for documentation
