Job Summary
Conduct morning and evening patient care routines, including personal assistance, feeding, and handling personal property. Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures while preparing nursing units and beds. Perform routine treatment procedures and collect specimens under supervision, taking vital signs and recording intake/output measurements. Participate in nursing care plans and attend staff meetings. Maintain safe, clean environments and follow universal precautions for all care activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalency
- Current C.N.A Certificate to practice in the State of California
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Ability to write legibly, spell correctly and do basic mathematics
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Physical ability to perform all nursing duties which include turning, positioning, and lifting of patients of varied age, size and weight
