Job Summary
Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures while performing personal care routines and routine treatment under licensed staff supervision. Monitor vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure. Prepare nursing units, patient rooms, and beds; answer call lights, serve meals, and collect specimens. Participate in Nursing Care Plans and attend staff meetings. Maintain safe, clean environments and perform special duties per unit protocol. Requires current C.N.A. certificate, CPR certification preferred, and ability to lift patients of varied sizes. Full-time variable shift in Hollister, CA.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalency
- Current C.N.A Certificate to practice in the State of California
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Ability to write legibly, spell correctly and do basic mathematics
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Physical ability to perform all nursing duties which include turning, positioning, and lifting of patients of varied age, size and weight
