Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, and feeding. Monitor patients by taking vital signs such as pulse and blood pressure, then report status and concerns to the registered nurse. Perform assigned clerical duties like routing patient reports to keep the unit running smoothly while providing assessment data within scope of practice. Maintain required certifications including CNA and Basic Life Support (BLS), and complete annual vaccinations as a condition of employment. This full-time night shift role is represented by SEIU at Adventist Health Twin Cities.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
- Acknowledge access to and reading of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certification
- Audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP
