Job Summary
Provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse, including assisting with nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, and restorative care. Perform technical skills such as tube feedings, warm and cold therapies, and finger stick capillary blood testing. Take vital signs, report patient status and concerns to the RN, and assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding. Execute clerical duties including routing patient reports to keep the unit running smoothly. Maintain accurate assessment data within the scope of practice. Requires CNA certification, BLS, and High School education; full-time day shift in San Luis Obispo.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation and acknowledgment of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certification
- Audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP
