Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide for in-home Private Duty care in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, serving meals, feeding patients, ambulating, turning, positioning, providing hydration, documenting vital signs and intake/output, transporting patients, responding to call lights, maintaining patient confidentiality, adhering to hospital and regulatory standards, and pursuing ongoing professional development. Requires TX CNA/HHA certification and BLS/CPR, with 2+ years of caregiving experience. Shifts include 12-hour days or nights; roles offered on a part-time, full-time, and per-diem basis.
Required Qualifications
- Certification with accredited CNA/HHA training course through the State of Texas
- Current American Heart Association BLS/ CPR certification
- 2 years of nursing assistant or caregiving experience
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Knowledge of relevant nursing care
- Friendly and professional bedside manner
- Maintains current CPR certification
- Multi-tasking skills
- Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
- Understands legal implications of patient care
