Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides nursing and nursing-related services to residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and psychosocial needs are met, while promoting a 'homelike' environment. Responsibilities include maintaining safety and hygiene standards, supporting resident-centered care, participating in team-oriented problem-solving, and nurturing care practices for those with dementia. Required qualifications include completion of a state-approved nurse aide training program, regulatory requirements, interpersonally oriented skills, and experience in skilled nursing facilities.
Required Qualifications
- successful completion of nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the State of Minnesota within 4 months of the hire date
- met regulatory requirements for certified nursing assistant in the State of MN
- active on the MN State Nurse Aide registry
- excellent interpersonal relationship skills and be committed to providing person centered care
- good communication skills
- good infection control practices
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years on the job experience as a certified nursing assistant in skilled nursing facility
- training and experience in geriatric nursing
