Job Summary
Conduct bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene for clients; assist with mobility, walking, and daily exercises. Support meals and light meal prep while performing light housekeeping including laundry, dishes, and cleaning bathrooms. Document care and report updates to your supervisor. Primarily works in the client's place of residence with varying shift times and days based on client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a State-approved Nurse Aide or PCA course
- Can read, write, and speak English
- High school graduate of G.E.D. certificate
- Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in health care (in homes or facilities)
- Interpersonal relations abilities
- Primarily works in client's place of residence
- Travel may be required
- Shift times and days vary with client needs
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6+ months caregiving experience preferred
- Caring, patient, and dependable
- Good communicator who follows instructions and care plans
- Comfortable working independently in a client's home
