Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to residents in a retirement community, assisting with activities of daily living such as hygiene, dressing, and ambulation. Responsibilities include maintaining records of resident care, assisting with light housekeeping, preparing and delivering meals, and engaging with residents and their families. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, CNA certification, and the ability to follow instructions in English, alongside physical capabilities like lifting and standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification by the State of Georgia as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- The ability to read, write and follow written/oral instructions in English
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds, bend, stoop, and twist
- Ability to stand and walk 90% of working hours
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a retirement community preferred
- Current CPR and/or First Aid certification
