Job Summary
Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and fluid intake/output. Assist residents with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and other activities of daily living. Transfer, position, and turn residents while providing skin care and nursing rehabilitation services. Contribute to resident assessments and care plans, and offer emotional and social support. Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report concerns to a supervisor. Protect resident rights, confidentiality, and personal belongings while promoting independent decision-making. Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, LPN/LVN, or Director of Nursing. Requires CNA licensure, high school diploma or equivalent, and one to three months of clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- CNA licensure depending on state requirements and regulations
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Dedicated, compassionate, and energetic
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
