Job Summary
Provide and assist in the direct care of patients under the supervision of an RN or LPN, requiring an understanding of basic anatomical, biological, psychological, cultural, and social sciences. Complete an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course and obtain the Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire. Within 30 days of hire, pass the National Provider BLS - American Heart Association exam. Work full-time 36-hour weekly shifts in day shifts at Providence St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements
- Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Some college courses in nursing or therapy field
- 3 months Nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care
