Job Summary
Provide and assist in direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Demonstrate understanding of basic anatomical, biological, psychological, cultural, and social sciences while delivering care in the rehabilitation unit. Maintain Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License and National Provider BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Work full-time 36-hour weekly schedule across three 12-hour day shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements
- Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months of experience in a nursing facility
Desired Qualifications
- Some college courses in nursing or therapy field
- 3 months Nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care
