Job Summary
Provide basic nursing care to patients in a nursing home setting under registered nurse supervision. Groom and bathe low-mobility patients, prepare rooms with necessary items, and assist with eating and medication administration. Monitor vitals and behavior, report changes to staff, transfer patients between wheelchair and bed, and adjust positions to prevent bedsores. Collect laboratory samples, educate patients and families on health conditions, maintain patient records, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to proper medication dosages.
Required Qualifications
- A valid CNA license in the state of employment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
