Job Summary
Provide comprehensive care to Treasure Coast Hospice patients under RN supervision, including bed baths, hygiene, mobility assistance, and household cleaning to maintain safe environments. Uphold Model Standards for patient visits, compliant documentation, and infection control protocols while reporting all patient concerns to the supervisor. Perform essential duties such as nutrition support, safe transfers, and ambulation assistance in a standing, sitting, and walking environment. Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and adherence to state and federal regulations. Complete annual clinical competency evaluations and 12 hours of CEUs. Work nights from 7pm to 7am with per diem scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant from the Florida State Board of Nursing
- Certified Hospice and Palliative Registered Nurse (CHPNA) within 12 months
- Current CPR (BLS) certification
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Current auto insurance
- Ability to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to patients, caregivers, and other Hospice staff
- Ability to handle sensitive issues and work well with others
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Ability to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster
- Ability to work in a smoke-free location and adhere to all smoking restrictions
- Ability to adhere to all OSHA Category I requirements (routine exposure to blood and body fluids/tissues)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, crouch, crawl, stoop, reach, handle, type, pick, pinch, use arm muscles frequently, use leg muscles frequently or for extended periods, and transfer patients
