Job Summary
Assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse by providing basic care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. Take vital signs, record patient information, and assist with medical procedures and tests while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, and participate in patient care conferences. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. This per diem role in acute care settings includes ICU, CCU, Med Surg, DOU, and ER/ED. Current California CNA certification, one year of acute care experience, and BLS/CPR are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of California
- Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience in an acute care setting
- BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
