Job Summary
Provides patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in assisted living facilities and rehabilitation centers; responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, serving meals, feeding patients, ambulating, turning and positioning, providing water and nourishment, transporting patients, answering call lights and requests, recording intake and output, and reporting observations. Performs adjunct care such as enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical prep, ice/heat treatments, and applying restraints; maintains patient stability through vitals and weight monitoring and documentation; adheres to policies, confidentiality, and professional standards; maintains knowledge through ongoing education and licensure; aims to add value to the nursing department and hospital. Requires CA CNA certification, current BLS/CPR certification, and 2 years of nursing assistant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Certification with accredited training course through the State of California
- current certification through American Heart Association in Basic Life
- BLS/CPR Certification
- 2 years of nursing assistant experience
