Job Summary
CNA Mentor leads and trains new CNAs through a mentorship program, guiding up to 2 mentees for 6-12 months to develop clinical and soft skills, foster a positive training environment, and ensure quality resident care. Responsibilities include 1:1 mentorship during training/orientation, collaboration with HR, DON, Scheduler, and CNA Supervisor on required competencies and mentorship paperwork, and cultivating strong working relationships among facility staff to support mentees and new staff growth. The role emphasizes leadership development, retention targets, and aligning with the facility’s Do the right thing, Foster positive relationships, Be committed, Be innovative, and Coach, guide and lead values. Location: Mt. Horeb, WI (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- Current CNA license/certification
- Experience mentoring or leadership in a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train CNAs and supervise mentees
- Commitment to resident care and team development
