Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the direct supervision of licensed nurses or medical providers to administer direct patient care, either in person or through telehealth, and to assist with patient flow in the GYN/women’s clinic. Duties include obtaining patient history and vitals, supporting exams and procedures, assisting medical providers, obtaining specimens and performing CLIA-waived lab tests, and performing other duties as assigned. The role is designated remote-essential with availability during campus closures or emergencies and requires caregivers to take UA-issued laptops home to ensure continuity of care via telehealth services.
Required Qualifications
- Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification
- At least six months of experience providing personal care to patients in a facility, home, or private services organization or direct customer service
- For a higher entry rate, additional certification such as Limited License Technologist (LLT) x-ray technician or specialized training relevant to gynecological/primary care settings
