Administer routinely scheduled oral and topical medications to assigned residents via scanning per policy, while monitoring and recording vital signs according to physician orders. Maintain accurate documentation of all medications and treatments, report unusual side effects to the Charge Nurse, and assist with returning, re-ordering, or destroying medications per facility policy. Notify the Charge Nurse of outdated medications or projected shortages and make suggestions to streamline the medication system. Work under direct supervision of a licensed nurse, requiring a state-approved CNA program completion, Nursing Assistant-Medication training, and EMR system proficiency. Hourly rate ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 with a $2,500 hiring bonus for full-time day shift openings.
