Job Summary
As part of a strong clinical team, the Med Tech CNA administers routinely scheduled oral and topical medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, maintains medication-related documentation, monitors vital signs, and reports any issues to the Charge Nurse. The role supports medication administration in a Skilled Nursing Facility/Long Term Care setting, assists with returning/destroying medications per policy, and contributes to streamlining the medication system. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, completion of a state-approved CNA program (Maine CNA Registry), and completion of a Nursing Assistant-Medication training program, with proficiency in an EMR system. Opportunities feature flexible shifts and shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Graduate of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and on the Maine CNA Registry
- Successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant-Medication training program
- Must be able to interact with an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system
