Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, perform a variety of direct patient care activities addressing the personal needs and comforts of patients across all age groups. Provide care for individuals with specific impairments including hearing and sight issues, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times while incorporating knowledge of the hospital's values and mission into daily performance. Prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide compassionate, empathetic, and responsive care. Requires a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school, an active BLS certification, and knowledge of medical terminology.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients
- Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care
- Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empathetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license
- Must show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses Fundamentals of Nursing I & II
- Must possess an active BLS from American Heart Association
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
- Must receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
- Must complete a background check
