Certified Nursing Assistant

Under the direction of licensed Nursing staff, assists in providing activities of daily living and comfort measures according to a written plan of care for assigned patients. Coordinates communications, processes orders for new admissions, outpatients and observation bed patients including transcribing orders, assembling patients’ charts and ordering tests; assists with daily unit activities and order. Provides clerical support, answers incoming calls, and directs them appropriately. Maintains high level of customer service with patients, families, coworkers, and others. Requires completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant course and an active Minnesota Nursing Assistant Certificate; high school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrates knowledge of basic medical terminology, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and strong confidentiality and teamwork skills.
