Job Summary
Take and record vital signs accurately, report unusual symptoms, and provide personal hygiene care including bathing, oral care, and grooming. Assist patients with nutritional needs, ambulation, and transport via wheelchair or stretcher while maintaining safety and rounding continuously. Support admissions, transfers, and discharges by documenting on nursing forms and observe safety precautions such as bed alarms and restraints. Perform procedures including K-pad application, Foley catheter removal, and clean catch urine specimens. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Work 24-32 hours per week across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Wisconsin
- BLS/CPR certification within 3 months of hire
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Demonstrates ability to do simple math functions
- May fulfill the role and assist with cardiac monitoring if EKG course graduate and/or score 85% or higher on BMH EKG exam
