Job Summary

Conduct direct patient care in hospice settings under RN supervision, including baths, oral hygiene, skin care, feeding, transferring, and post-mortem care. Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and promptly report significant changes or interpersonal issues to the case manager. Assist with ambulation, toileting, and light housekeeping while maintaining strict confidentiality and infection control standards. Document all observations and care performed according to the plan of care and Hospice policy. Complete required in-services, background checks, and competency evaluations. Maintain a valid Washington CNA license, BLS certification, and driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant licensed in Washington
  • direct patient care experience in the last 24 months
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
  • Minimum one-year full-time experience in direct patient care in an institutional setting
  • One-year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in an agency setting
  • Satisfactory completion of a competency evaluation program that complies with State standards
  • Washington State DOH CNA Certification
  • Current BLS HCP
  • valid WA State Driver's License
  • personal insurance
  • insurable with the District's insurance carrier
  • Must complete the required disclosure statement
  • pass a criminal history background check upon hire and every two (2) years thereafter
