Job Summary
Provide personal care and support services to meet patient daily needs, enhance comfort, and maintain a safe environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Observe patient conditions and accurately report and document observations and services provided. Deliver care to patients and families in homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or Hospice Care Centers. Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Location includes Whitley, Laurel, Clay, Knox, and Bell Counties. Requires current Kentucky State Nurse Aide registration, CNA training completion, and one year of hospital or nursing home experience. Must be a licensed driver with an insured vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- high school graduate or equivalent
- Currently registered as a State Nurse Aide with the Kentucky Board of Nursing
- Completion of a recognized Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions
- Ability to accurately document care provided
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates empathy for individuals who are ill, frail, or impaired
- understands the philosophy of hospice care
- understands the needs of the terminally ill
- Must be a licensed driver
- have an automobile in good working order
- automobile insured in accordance with state minimum requirements
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience in a hospital or nursing home setting
