Job Summary
Assume responsibility and accountability for the practice of professional nursing in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act standards. Perform comprehensive assessments of client status, including physical, psychological, and environmental parameters. Develop and/or follow an individualized Plan of Care that incorporates analysis of data and current scientific findings. Provide skilled interventions aimed at achieving realistic client outcomes within a specified time period. Report changes and information necessary to modify and update the care plan to reflect progress towards goals. Consistently demonstrate competency with technical nursing skills according to personal and legal scope of practice. Assess skills applied to the client, family/support system, and environment. Teach according to the client's needs and within the context of the client's environment, value system, and physical/emotional status. Work 11p-7a shifts with SSTWR and FMTWR rotations.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- State approved nursing assistant course completion/certification, or enrollment in approved course per state guidelines.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self or others.
- Ability to prioritize duties.
- Ability to understand and follow work assignments.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
