Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN, applying knowledge of basic anatomical, biological, psychological, cultural, and social sciences. Maintain Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification and complete National Provider BLS training within 30 days of hire. Work full-time 36-hour weekly shifts on day shifts at Providence St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage. Eligible full-time external hires may receive a $2,500 hiring bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements
- Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Some college courses in nursing or therapy field
- 3 months Nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care
