Job Summary
Provide basic patient care and perform nursing procedures under RN or LPN supervision, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and positioning children. Take shifts on rounds, transport residents to therapy, and monitor vital signs, reporting abnormalities immediately. Assist with activities of daily living, ensure skin and safety checks, and document care on flow sheets. Encourage resident independence and maintain clean care areas while following infection control policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of NYS approved Nurse Assistant Certification Program
- Active CNA Certification on NYS Nurse Aide Registry
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently
- Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this Center which includes a medical and physical examination
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as Nurse's Aide
