Job Summary
Provide culturally sensitive, developmentally appropriate patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Assist patients with basic hygiene, hair, and oral care while performing rounds every two hours to monitor resident safety. Alert medical staff to observe changes in patient conditions and operate equipment such as blood pressure machines and SCD devices safely. Collect and transport specimens for laboratory analysis, comply with infection control initiatives, and present a professional image to patients, families, and staff. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and participate in performance improvement studies and continuing education programs.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED state certification or similar demonstrated ability
- up to six months of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification
